Type 635

FREQUENCY RANGE

2 to 8 MHz. 18 spot frequencies or continuous tuning.

POWER SUPPLIES

Rechargeable sealed 12 V battery integral with the transceiver. The AC main battery charger can also power the set in low power operation without any battery fitted. Battery life 6 hours.

RANGE IN MILES.

Depending on Antenna:
8ft rod - High Power set 25 miles, Low Power set 10 miles.
27 ft wire, end-fed - High Power set 300 miles, Low Power set 300 miles.
Quarter wave dipole - Hight Power set 525 miles, Low Power set 350 miles.
Matched horizontal dipole - High Power set 750 miles, Low Power set 500 miles.

METHOD OF PRODUCING OSCILLATIONS

WHERE USED/FITTED

An HF portable transmitter-receiver designed for manpack or ground installation use. Two versions are available: Type 635(2) the high power set, consists of Type 635(1) the low power set with additional units. Type 635(2) can be used in the low power mode. The set can also be installed in a vehicle.
