DATE OF DESIGN |
1929. Virtually the same as the 5C with a couple of subtle differences. |
FREQUENCY RANGE |
6250 - 25000 k/cs on some sets locally converted down to 4290 kc/s. |
POWER SUPPLIES |
1.5 kW Rotary Converter. |
RANGE IN MILES |
N/K or N/A |
TYPE OF SET |
VALVE |
WAVEFORM |
ICW. The frequency of the note is very gruff owing to the low frequency of the A.C. supply from the rotary converter to the transformer i.e., about 70 cycles per second. |

METHOD OF PRODUCING OSCILLATIONS |
SELF |
WHERE USED/FITTED |
HF Attachment fitted with Type 2 or Type 4 from which the power supply is obtained. By this time, these two Type Systems were anywhere between 15 and 20 years old. That is no problem! As I write this the RN still have Type 42 destroyers fitted with ICS2 and that is 33 years old to my certain knowledge! |
